The Bride Lindsey Houser, 30, is vice president of finance for Paxen Learning Corporation.
The Groom Daniel Alf, 28, is vice president of operations for Tropic Greenery.
How They Met Lindsey and Daniel met on the dance floor at a local bar. After exchanging a few words and smiles, he asked for her number and called immediately. “I made him chase me for a month before I agreed to go out with him,” Lindsay says. Their first date was on the fishing dock behind Daniel’s house, where Lindsey “succeeded in hooking nothing but his adorable dog.” Luckily, the dog was fine, and the couple has been together ever since.
Their Engagement Lindsey suspected that Daniel was proposing after he asked her to keep her weekend open. When she asked why, he said he wanted to go to the beach. Because they live on the beach, Lindsey was miffed. She made plans to get her haircut to disrupt things and see if Daniel would confess his real intentions, but he didn’t stop her. Disappointed, Lindsey came home only to have Daniel propose on the boardwalk. “I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but of course I said yes!”
